I am a single father to two wonderful young children, and I need your help! My daughter is 5 years old, and my son is 2 years old.
I am looking for someone who:
* is between 25 and 40 years old
* has a US Tourist Visa (or better)
* is a native Japanese (english skills not required; I can help you practice English!)
* loves young children
* is very patient and warm
* is educated
* enjoys cooking for children
* is passionate about teaching Japanese language and culture to others
* is willing to do this for at least 3~4 months
* is capable of teaching children to be self sufficient and organized
* does not smoke
The reason I need help is that when the children are with me, I spend too much time cooking and cleaning. We get home around 5:30pm, and they go to sleep 8:30pm which leaves very little space for quality time, and this is something I want to fix.
Why Japanese? because I am also fascinated with the Japanese language and culture, and I want to learn to speak Japanese. I have already taken some lessons (with a remote teacher), so I already have some experience with Japanese sentence structure and pronunciation. I also visited Kyoto for 4 days about 6 months ago and I fell completely in love with Japan.
We live in Santa Monica (in Southern California, USA). This is a safe, quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The weather here is wonderful, and the people are kind and patient. We also live in front of a charming park that has a playground for children, a velodrome where they can ride their bicycles, lots of grass to play on, as well as ducks and turtles.
You would live in a 2nd private bedroom, and I am willing to pay $1,000/month. I will also buy your flight tickets. You will be free most of the time because my kids are only here 2 days a week. I created a schedule which you can view here:
As you can see from this schedule, you will be free most of the week and you are free to do whatever you want with your time. If you wish, I can also introduce you to Santa Monica and Los Angeles on days I am without my children. If you need a place to work on your computer, you are welcome to join me at my office space during work hours.
What's the next step?
Please email me your CV, and a paragraph or two explaining why you would like to take this job. After revising your application, I want to conduct a Skype interview just to make sure we like each other. We would then agree on a start date and stay period, and I would send you a flight ticket.
