Hello,
My name is Richard, and I’ve been living in Kyoto for about six months. I’m currently seeking a full-time position as an English and/or German teacher in the Kyoto or Osaka area. I hold a Working Holiday Visa that allows me to work full-time, and I’m planning to stay in Japan long-term.
About me:
Native German speaker with near-native English (C2+)
Experience teaching adults, teens, and children
Strong communication and structured teaching style
Basic Japanese skills
Reliable, punctual, organized, and long-term oriented
Positive attitude, adaptable, and motivated to grow
What I’m looking for:
Minimum 2000 yen per hour for full-time positions
Full transportation costs covered (Hankyu Kyoto Line / JR Kyoto Line)
Guaranteed weekly hours and a stable schedule
Workable commuting distance: Kyoto, Takatsuki, Ibaraki, Hirakata, and other stations realistically reachable via JR or Hankyu
No extreme commutes or daily relocations across Kansai
What I offer:
A dedicated, consistent teacher who cares about student progress and communication quality. I’m open to established curricula, corporate training, after-school programs, or customized lesson planning. I’m also interested in opportunities that may support a future visa extension or change of status.
If your school or company is looking for a committed long-term teacher with strong English and German proficiency, feel free to reach out.
